Day 5

Friday 7 October 2016

Today I start with an apology to myself!

I started off the day well, had breakfast as usual, went for coffee with friends, and didn’t have any toast etc. I then had a banana for a snack after my 11 appointment. So far so good….

…then I bought myself a pack of 6 Dairy Milk bars (the little ones), and for some reason I thought it a good idea to eat them all. To top that off when I got home from the school run I had another lolly.

So my question to myself, and anyone else who cares to answer is; should I go back to Slimming World where I am following a specific diet, do I try somewhere else, or do I go back to calorie counting?

Starting Point

03 October 2016

Current Weight – 9st 6.75lb                                              Target Weight – 8st

I am only 5ft, so that puts me in the overweight category, I want to get to 8st because that will put me mid range for my height.

Most of my weight is around my middle, which apparently is the worse place for your organs and for diabetes.

Another weight loss journey!

Just like many others I need to loose weight and get healthier, I am testing the theory that if I put myself ‘out there’ I may manage to keep on track!

2.5 years ago I started taking some medication (against my better judgement) it was sold to me as ‘the only option’!, and as predicted I put weight on, and it wasn’t a slow process withing 4-6 weeks I had put on over a stone, and for someone my height that wasn’t good. So here I am 2.5 years later and having tried various ways to loose weight and get healthier I find myself in a difficult position of knowing what I need to do, but struggling to put anything in to practice.

I start a (kind of) new job on Monday, so I am thinking that if I take this weekend to plan and maybe precook food I might be able to make a decent start.

On Monday I will put my weight, and possibly my measurements on the blog and then try and blog my meals each day, and I will also let you know what exercise I might have done, and how many steps I have walked (with my fancy fitbit!).

If anyone wants to share their journey with me, please let me know.
